Dolly Oblong: Q&A + Seen @ ToyConUK 2013
It is fine time we have a read at what Dolly Oblong has to say about her experience at ToyConUK, and as well a look at her table, via images of which most of my Q+A coverage for the event has based off of! My sincere and humble thanks to Dolly for her efforts!
TOYSREVIL: How was the ToyCon for you? Your impressions? Was it what you expected it to be? Was this your first Con?
DOLLY OBLONG: ToyCon was an absolute blast! It was my first Con (yes us Europeans are not actually swimming in events like this hehe..) so to be honest I didn't know what to expect. It definitely wasn't a slow starter, when the doors opened at 10am it took only seconds before the whole venue was filled with a toy loving crowd!
There was such a positive vibe throughout the day, great to see so many toy enthusiasts gathered in one place. Also enjoyed and learned a lot from chatting with fellow artists like Tado, Squink, Tarantulas, Cris Rose, Sneaky Raccoon and many more. It was good to finally meet these fine folks from across the pond!

TOYSREVIL: Tell us what you had on your table! And which of your items had the warmest reception / best response?
DOLLY OBLONG: On the table was a rainbow of new plush (including a XL Blob), a new paper toy robot posse called Dairobo, a few fresh customs (mostly dunnies) and a new resin toy called Billy Brains.
In addition to the regular Billy Brains, there was also a super limited run of three glow-in-the-dark Billies, called Billy Insane. During the day both Billy versions sold out, many thanks to all of you who adopted one! Hmm the warmest reception..? Tricky question, I think it was a close call between the Billy Brains and the Dairobo Z dunny customs. Both got a fair share of positive vibes :)
TOYSREVIL: Any suggestions to make the event even more awesome in the future?
DOLLY OBLONG: The ToyCon team did a brilliant job in organizing the event. Even though it was the first time everything ran so smoothly it looked like they'd be doing this for years. That's why my only suggestion is.. make the event BIGGER! So more people can join the fun :)
All leftover goodies (including the Dairobo Z customs) will appear in the online shop @ shop.dollyoblong.com over the next few weeks.
